The Azalia Peet papers consist of photographs, correspondence, memorabilia, diaries, articles, and speeches. Of particular interest are her diaries and letters written from Japan, circa 1916-54, and from the Japanese American internment camps in the United States during World War II. Her early diaries (1902-1916) reflect her home life and her personal struggle to come to terms with her vocation.
